1. Introduction
Model ZY6155A oxygen index tester is a new type of product developed according to the technical requirements of national standard GB / T2406.2. The instrument is used to measure the volume percentage of oxygen needed in the process of polymer combustion. The oxygen index value of the polymer is just the lowest oxygen concentration (also called oxygen index) needed for the sample combustion in the mixture of oxygen and nitrogen needed to maintain the combustion time of 180 s or 50 mm long after ignition.
The instrument can be used not only as a means to identify the flame retardancy of polymers, but also as a research tool to study flame retardant formulation in laboratory and develop new flame retardant materials. It is suitable for testing the combustibility of fixed materials, laminated materials, foam plastics, fabrics, films and other materials.
The structure design of the instrument is reasonable, and the operation and maintenance are convenient. The test system adopts imported oxygen sensor and shows the result with digital display. It has the advantages of accurate judgement and good reproducibility, and is an ideal test equipment for scientific research and production quality control.
